Foro Internacional sobre Propiedad Intelectual: Expopriority-2009 del 8 al 10 diciembre de 2009
«Expocentre», the Central Exhibition Complex in Moscow, is planning to run International Forum on Intellectual Property: «Expopriority-2009» on its Premises from 8 to 10 December 2009. As part of the Forum, International congress on issues of legal protection and defense of output of intellectual activities will be held alongside an exhibition of the latest innovations in science and technology, where, in addition to exhibiting, participants (manufacturers and R & D companies, including those set up financed by the state budget) will be offered an opportunity to hold their expositions and individual presentations as direct marketing of their products and services.
«Expocentre» have the intention of implementing in reality and for the first time in Russia the norm of the Paris Convention on the Protection of Intellectual Property which USSR became a Party to on 1 July 1965 (the Russian Federation is the assign): «On temporary protection of inventions, useful models, industrial samples and trade marks at certain international exhibitions». A document issued by the Management of an exhibition at exhibitor’s request, which would extend the so called ‘Exhibition Priority’ coverage to being exhibited new merchandise and technologies, will allow innovative companies and individual inventors to widely use direct marketing instruments for new developments at exhibitions without compromising their position in acquisition of exclusive rights for those at the next stage.
The Forum is targeting participants from The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), regional specialized organizations and national patent counsels/attorneies of the most advanced countries, International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), Licensing Executives Society (LES), All-Russian Society of Inventors and Development Engineers (VOIR) as well as federal ministries and departments of the Russian Federation, major Russian and foreign companies, representatives of small and medium size businesses, individual inventors and entrepreneurs of Russia and other countries.
